resistiré
#QuédateEnCasa Competition
Goal: To spread compassion and connect with others through the #saferathome order.
Task description:
According to the World Health Organization, as of April 6, 2020, Spain has 130,759 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 12,418 deaths.
During the quarantine in Spain, some Spaniards have shown their solidarity by playing music and/or singing on their balconies as well as applauding the health care workers as they come home from work every day at 8:00 pm. Also, on Instagram, 163 musicians provided 83 hours of concerts from their homes for the #YoMeQuedoEnCasa Festival.
There are a few songs that have brought the Spanish people closer together as they need to stay apart. One such song is Resistiré, a Spanish song from the 1980s by the group Dúo Dinámico. The 2020 version is by various Spanish artists. It has become a sort of national anthem for the people of Spain during this health crisis due to COVID-19.
Let's join the "Resistiré" movement and create a video for the families from our partner school in Logroño, Spain. Please consider participating. I think it will mean a lot to our Spanish friends.
How can you participate? Film one of the following in a short clip & share with Sra. by 1:00 pm on Mon., April 13.
1. Make Resistiré posters and have someone film you. (waving posters or even singing/dancing along to the song)
2. Learn the lyrics to Resistiré (or a segment) and sing or lip sync. Record and share clip with Sra.
3. Learn how to play Resistiré (or a segment) on an instrument of your choice. Record and share clip with Sra.
Sra. will combine entries and create a video that she will share with you and our Spanish friends.
